About Us

The purpose of the Norfolk Area Home Builders Association is to allow builders, remodelers, and associated businesses within the surrounding counties in order to provide mutual advantage and cooperation and to collaborate with all fields related to the residential building industry for the benefit of the industry as a whole and to assist in the accomplishment of the mutual objectives of the National Association of Home Builders of the United States and the Nebraska Home Builders Association.

  • - We engage on behalf of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to represent their interests to government and the public on issues pertaining to residential construction.
  • - Promote on behalf of our member businesses and create a business environment which fosters their success.
  • - Provide a broad spectrum of networking and marketing opportunities to assist members to make the connections within the industry to ensure the success of our members.

The Norfolk Area Home Builders sponsor and organize the Norfolk Area Home and Garden Show held each year in March. This year the home show will be held at the DeVent Center in Norfolk.

National and State Associated

Norfolk Area Home Builders Association is a proud member of the national and state associations.


  • Budget Committee

    Executive Board responsible for establishing budget and all board share in the responsiblity for staying in budget.

  • Communication Committee

    Website, press releases, advertising, newsletter, social media marketing

  • General Meeting & Entertainment Committee

    Maintain the meeting schedule and educational components, including the shoot out and golf outing

  • Home Show Committee

    Responsible for all aspects of the home show

  • Legislative Issues Committee

    Involvement with the Chamber Legislative conference call, local issues, State and National BuildPAC

  • Membership Committee

    Coordinating membership drive, recruiting new members, mentoring current members

  • Promoting the Trades

    Habitat for Humanity, scholarships, donations, Skills USA,working with schools to promote the trades.
